Well, you see, I have this friend from Iowa... And he makes yearly trips to Iceland to get the artichoke seeds. They grow on the backs of rocks along with a special kind of moss that you use for fertilizer. It's very complicated to import them into this country, though. It requires licenses, and permits, and a really big herd of cattle.
